GROW Community Privacy Policy

We at GROW Community are fully committed to respecting your data privacy and regard transparency as our top priority. This Privacy Policy explains the types of information we collect and the methods we use from users who interact with GROW Community services – mobile application and website. By using any one of our services, you consent to the terms and conditions mentioned in this Privacy Policy. Please also review, if applicable, your agreement with us, including our Terms of Service that shall govern in the event of any inconsistency with this Privacy Policy. 

This Privacy Policy is inapplicable to Personal Information disclosed to any other website, product or service of any third-party company, even if the Website links to (or from) our Website. We have no control over the links in any other website. It does not assume any obligation from these linked websites.

Categories of Users

GROW Community users can be categorized as Partner, Buyer, and Runner. These terms will have the meanings defined as below.

“Partner” means any individual who connects with us to sell/trade items through GROW Community services. Home chefs and artisans are included in this category.

“Buyer” refers to the individuals who use GROW Community services to purchase the items being promoted by Partners.

“Runner” is the term used to describe individuals who serve as a delivery person between Partner and Buyer for the purchased item(s).

In some cases, both Partner and Buyer may also serve as Runner by choice.

Types of Information We Collect

You are required to provide your personal information to be able to use our services. Nonetheless, the choice to share your data with us is your right, and we only collect information users voluntarily provide. Information collected may include:

  • Personal Details (e.g., name, alias name, date of birth, occupation, your ID from any social media, etc.)
  • Contact Details (e.g. residential address, postal code, email, phone number, etc.)
  • Geolocation Data (geographical location of a person)
  • We need this data to be able to locate you. We create the longitude and latitude automatically in order to be able to process your address in our linked system such as our user app and and share and display your address to our partners, buyers and runners.
  • Transaction Data (e.g., purchase/trade history, account information, payment methods, communication on chats, etc.)
  • Technical Information (e.g, IP address, device IDs, etc.)
  • Product Information (data, which may include but are not limited to texts, photos, and videos, stored on Grow Community services)
  • User Feedbacks (e.g, testimonials, ratings, reviews, etc.)
  • Cookies (small digital data files to track your website usage information)

By using our App, Website, and the services found therein, you represent, warrant, and agree that you have consented to our collection and processing of your personal information.

Methods of Collection

We collect information from you when you use our App, our Website, or when you interact with our services.

When you first sign up to use the GROW Community App, you are asked to create an account using one of these options: email, Facebook account, Apple ID, or phone number. These services will authenticate your identity and lead you to the sign-up form. We will collect the information you provide along with the data – name, postal code, residential address, and other information – you fill in when creating your account. If you elect not to provide Personal Data in optional fields, it may limit your ability to use our Services

When you initiate a transaction through our services, such as a purchase/trade, we will ask for your location permission, and your credit card information and payment methods may be needed to complete the transaction process. We encrypt credit card numbers using industry-standard technology. And the information you provided will be saved for future transactions. We may also collect the technical information of the device you are using to connect with Grow Community services, such as IP address, device IDs, etc.

Not all information we collect will personally identify you. For your website usage information, we use Cookies to track and remember your website usage history to understand users’ preferences better so that we can enhance your experience when using our services. Please note that we do not use Cookies to obtain your personal data. Such information can only be acquired if users provide them to us of their own accord. If you wish to opt-out of having cookies set on your browser, the only way to ensure that this happens is to manage the settings on your web browser to delete all cookies and disallow further acceptance of cookies. By not performing the foregoing, you unequivocally give your consent to the collection of non-personally-identifiable information thru cookies. However, it may also disable many of the features available through our Websites and Services, and some aspects of our Services may not work properly if you do so.

Partners may upload, edit and make updates of Product Information displayed on GROW Community services on their own. By using our services, you give us permission to use this information for GROW Community’s marketing and advertising purposes. We may collect and store Product Information directly provided to us or displayed on our services.

We may also collect User Feedbacks through marketing campaigns and customer surveys. To engage in those activities may require you to provide certain information, such as email, phone number, address, age, gender, and other information. However, we would like to repeat the fact that we respect your data privacy, and you are not obligated to share your personal information without your consent.

Your personal information (e.g., name, residential address, phone number, etc.) may be shared with Runners or third parties providing delivery service for us.

Product information (e.g., texts, photos, videos, etc.) may be shared with business entities engaged by GROW Community to perform marketing and advertising functions.
We do not sell or rent your Personal Data to marketers or third parties. We process your personal data only in accordance with the strict legal requirements. We pay particular attention to the fact that all principles for the processing of personal data are taken into account. Therefore, we only process your data if this is lawful and you can reasonably expect it to proceed. If, in the course of our evaluation, we come to the conclusion that the processing cannot reasonably be expected, we will only carry out the processing with your express consent.

We are constantly striving to improve our customer experiences & service delivery. Your constructive feedback is very important to us. Therefore, we will occasionally send you customer surveys and ask you to give us your opinion. If you do not wish to receive customer surveys, you can unsubscribe at any time. For any customer survey request you can click “unsubscribe” below and we will not contact you again for purposes of customer research/ satisfaction surveys.

We have a strong interest in informing you about new partners or deals when using our app. We are always working to give you an amazing customer experience. To achieve this, we negotiate very good deals for you with our partners. To inform you about these deals, we send you in-app-notification or push notification. It is imperative that you have activated this in your end device.

Besides other means we continue to use SMS to inform you about new deals in your area. You will only receive an SMS from us if you have given your consent. We have obligations to retain the data that you provide us, both to ensure that transactions can be appropriately processed, settled, refunded, or charged back, to identify fraud, and also to comply with laws applicable to us and to our banking providers and credit card processors.

If you close your account, we are required to retain certain information to meet our obligations, including where such retention is necessary for legal or business purposes. However, we will identify your account in our database as “inactive” or “closed” in our database. By using our App, Website, and availing of our service, you hereby consent to the retention of your Personal Data in accordance with the preceding procedures.
